Justin Charles Strong, 22, was arrested for robbing and attacking an elderly man with a bat, police said on Saturday.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (WUSA) -- Police made an arrest, after an elderly man was brutally beaten with a baseball bat, in Prince George's County.

The attack took place on Sept. 15 at the 3800 Block of Bladensburg Road at around 5:48 a.m. When police arrived at the scene they found a 72-year-old man suffering from severe injures and was rushed to a local hospital.
The investigation revealed that Strong approached the victim, pulled out a knife and demanded the victim's wallet. When the victim refused Strong walked away.

"The suspect returned a short while later, armed with an aluminum baseball bat, and began attacking the victim. That's when a good Samaritan passed by and yelled for the suspect to stop," police said in a news release.
The victim remains in the hospital in stable condition.
Strong has been charged with with attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, armed robbery, and several other charges. No bond was set.
